Humor of the Week

"The solution to Iraq - an Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself and defend itself - is more than a military mission. Precisely the reason why I sent more troops into Baghdad."

Welcome to LibertyMulch.org...

Keep informed!Liberty Mulch is a group of San Diego friends and neighbors upset at the state of our American political garden - pests and weeds everywhere. We share a growing frustration over the Bush Administration and the current shift in our society towards an increasingly radical conservatism. We feel these extreme actions do not represent average Americans, who, like us, are more in the middle. Many of us are guilty of being lazy gardeners - we cared about politics but relied on others to mulch the garden and weed the pests that threaten it. But as we watch recent events unfold, we realize we must become involved. Otherwise, we face years (if not generations) restoring our precious garden. The time for action is now!

Adopt a big city newspaper!Adopt an Editor
The state of California is solidly Democratic, however, we can still play a role in the national debate by adopting a big city newspaper in one of the other states. A couple of times a week skim the political articles in another state newspaper's website and write letters to the editor whenever you feel their coverage is biased or simply untrue. We need to do what we can to reverse the misinformation being perpetuated by the Bush/Rove dastardly duo.

Fortunately, the folks at the True Majority website have made this real easy. Just click on this link, http://action.truemajority.org/l2e/index.asp and follow the easy instructions. Even if newspapers don't publish your letters, it does make a difference, since editors pay attention to topics that generate reader response.

Book of the Month

America Libre
by Raul Ramos y Sanchez

> Synopsis

The book is a new latino political thriller by Raul Ramos y Sanchez. This novel contemplates a Hispanic civil war engulfing the Southwestern United States in the not-so-distant future, spurred by our horribly dysfunctional immigration policies, and our perpetual war on terror. It's a fast and thought-provoking read which really hits close to home.
